Default Swear Words from the Fisher-Price Grand Piano?

Okay, this is the craziest thing I have heard for a while. My husband found this article while looking through his fatherhood websites:

http://consumerist.com/consumer/some...-me-291364.php

Apparently, this mother thinks that the Fisher Price Grand Piano toy swears. Honestly, do these parents not have better things to freak out about???

BTW, read the comments from readers at the bottom of the article. They are hillarious!

I am laughing so hard right now I could seriously pee my pants.

That is the dumbest complaint I have ever heard. Right up there with "that coffee was too hot!"

Years ago they said that one of the teletubbies was making a racial slur. I think once about every 5 years or so someone makes a claim like this. It's ridiculous. Like the companies would market stuff like that!

I have to admit, I'm laughing pretty hard myself. If we look long enough and hard enough at anything we can find something wrong with it. Seriously, that mom needs to give her kid a wooden spoon and pot and call it a day.

Actually I remember this, because my friend (we were teenagers) had a small child with the Po doll. We listened to it over and over and I swear the thing was telling us to "lick his (behind)." So, technically it wasn't a racial slur, but rather a gay comment (according to some). Long before that, and still to this day, people are trying to ban that show because its too "gay." Geez! Just because one of the male teletubbies carries a purse....But that's another thread and I will now discuss the OP.

I think the parent was shocked, because long ago they changed the sounds on most (apparently not all) child pianos, toys..so that these sort of words cannot be made. But honestly, this is overreacting just a bit. Everyone is so sue happy these days. (Maybe if we made more money and cut the cost of living in half we'd be fine, but that's another thread also!)

I think we need to worry more about the recall issues lately. I mean seriously are the chinese factories trying to kill us or what? Lead paint in our childrens' toys, arsenic in toothpaste, pet food contaminated. I mean, let's look at what's really important here!!!!
