I'm not concerned, now that the medical officials are on top of it. The slightest hint of any flu, and you'll have a team of DRs watching over you. I am always concerned with these epidemics, that we'd contract it BEFORE it became an issue, and therefore no one is really looking for the signs. At least we're all aware of it.

Yes, I am worried. My oldest son and DIL live in NYC, where this broke out. And my baby is about to go to sea for 12 weeks, in close quarters. Hopefully everyone will be healthy.

It is kinda creepy, and I am sure it will be bad.....but the media has nothing else to talk about so they are going to blow this out of proportion. Remember the year of the shark attacks, and the year that there were so many kidnappings, I think this will be their thing to scare us with!!!
Like I said though, I am sure it will be bad.....I just hope it won't be as bad as they are trying to make us think it is!!

Yeah, the media will definetely blow this out of proportion. Remember back in 2003 with that SARS scare???? We had 8 people affected in the US (none died) and people were freaking out. Yet, 30, 000 or more people die every year from the flu. There's no need for chaos.

Nope, definately not worried about it. I totally agree with jkl123 (I should REALLY learn your real name, jkl! LoL!) that the media blows it out of proportion. What else are they good for? There really is no cause for concern right now. Of course, if you believe you have become infected then you should get that checked out. But the chances of you or someone you know becoming infected is so slim that we really shouldn't get all worked up about it.

I think we think alike i said the same thing to my OH my youngest son was born in the year of sars and no one could come and visit me at the hospital it was such a lonely time. I agree more people die each year from regular flu. the media will def blow this out of proportion. People just keep doing what you are doing and always sanitize.
