Default system problems at osco conversion stores

I went to my CVS tonight. On the door was a sign saying system problems; cash or check only (no credit or debit). No big deal; I had enough cash to cover my <$1 oop.
But, the manager saw me within a minute or two & came over (calling me by my first name! haha - I'm so well-known now!), telling me that I should probably come back tomorrow or go over to a "core cvs store" (one of the originals, not a converted one), b/c they were having problems, and hundreds of the stores were having issues tonight. He said it would just be a big headache for me to check out. The "jackpot machine" (eb printing machine) wasn't even working. I thanked him & left. (and silly me, I forgot to pick up my gc from my "big confrontation"! )

Just thought I'd let you know, in case you had problems tonight; it could be due to this.

happened this morning. went in to check out the clearance and buy something to print my ecbs....at the register there was a sign that they were only taking cash and checks... my order was only 54¢...so i had it covered..now if i had only not been distracted by the guy cashier, i would have given him my cvs card! he tried to go back and use my card, but the system was down...oh well went to a different cvs/savon and had no problems.. hmmm is it just certain stores maybe??

Had the same problem yesterday here in Oklahoma. Went to 4 stores. The 1st 2 worked fine. Went to the third one, gathered all my stuff then the cashier started asking me the prices so she could enter them as taxable items. So I canceled the ordered and went to the next store thinking it was an isolated incident. Gathered my stuff, went to check out and their system was down too. The cashier told me it was supposedly 900 stores that were affected. After that i gave up and went home. Hopefully i can find some today that are working.

Thanks for the info everyone - haven't been to a CVS yet this week and was going to go this morning. Since I only have two converted SavOns I'll stay home instead.
