Default Taco Casserole

Not sure this is 10 minutes, but it's quick:

Taco and Rice Casserole
1 pound ground beef
2 cups water
1 package taco seasoning
2 cups Minute Rice
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 teaspoon pepper
To top the casserole:
Coarsely crushed tortilla chips
Shredded lettuce
Chopped tomato
Sour cream
Brown meat in large skillet over medium-high heat; drain. Add water and seasoning mix; stir. Bring to boil. Stir in rice. Sprinkle with cheese, cover. Cook on low heat for 5 minutes. Top as desired with ingredients above and enjoy!

I don't know about them, but I loved it. I'm going to try another variation of it this weekend.

Oops sorry for not updating..my bad....What I ended up doing was making the casserole into a salad type thing...I layer it on each plate and added taco chips on the side so they could scoop it up Alejandro loved it...he loves eating with no cutlery..as any little boy will. I also made my own seasoning as Alejandro is very picky when it comes to "spice".

I don't eat sausage, but some folks add ground sausage for a little more flavor.

This sounds way good. I have five boys, six counting DH, I know they will love this. Thanks for the quick dinner idea and I can't wait to try it!
