Default Teaching Our Kids Money Management

I realized that as parents, we were focussing so much on math, reading, spelling, language, history, science, that we weren't dedicating very much time to the nitty-gritty of money management.

I've been trying to pass on all the good teaching my parents did, and changing the things that they did not do well. Good money management was one of them.

Let's all make a concerted effort to close this gap in their education. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Anyone with me?

I just finished reading "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" and now realize more than ever how important it is to give them a background in money management. It was a quick and easy read and I'd recommend it to anyone.

My kids are earning their allowance through chores. Each chore is worth a certain amount.

However, there is a limit to how much they can work up to per pay period. Mom does need something to pay bills with! lol
