Tell me about your stay at home job
Please take a moment to answer the following questions. I would like to learn more about those of you who work from home and how it works for you. I'm planning some blog posts and would like to hear more about your experiences. You can reply here or PM me. Thanks in advance! ~Shoshanna
Do you currently work from home?
How many hours a week do you spend on your home business or job?
Using that number of hours above, how much are you making per hour?
What is the nature of your job?
How long have you been doing this job?
How long did you have to do the job before it began to provide an actual income?
How much did you have to invest in order to get started in your job?
What tips would you like to pass on about working from home?

Do you currently work from home? yes
How many hours a week do you spend on your home business or job? about 25
Using that number of hours above, how much are you making per hour? It is hard to say, because I don't get paid by the hour, I get paid at the end of the job I do, which is on average about $1500 to $2000 per wedding
What is the nature of your job? I am a wedding consultant, I plan weddings
How long have you been doing this job? I just got my business up and running and I have done 2 weddings so far
How long did you have to do the job before it began to provide an actual income? it depends on how long it takes to plan the wedding. if i have more than 1 wedding at a time then i will make more money, but if i only have 1 i don't make too much in the long run because it takes about 6 mo. to a year to plan a wedding
How much did you have to invest in order to get started in your job? i did not put very much money into this career. basically i just had to buy a cell phone, a palm pilot, a fax machine and my own personal phone line at home, oh and a website. that was it!
What tips would you like to pass on about working from home? i love working at home because you still get to spend time with your kids and watch them growup. just use their nap time to your advantage, thats my tip!

Tips - you have to be dedicated and keep a detailed diary. Planning is essential and you sometimes have to say no - even though it is tough!

A reminder here to all:
Links to your own site should not be in the posts. They should be in your signature. To edit your signature, click usercp at the top of the page, and then click the option for editing signature.
We have had to be very aggressive about spam here because of the size of the forum. We are absolutely deluged with outright spam and other types of self promotion. When a new member starts posting a lot about their site, the mods id it as spam, and delete and report. Prior to us getting tough, this part of the forum was flooded with people in mlm companiestrying to get someone to join up. Stayin home and lovin it was the worst.
Members also notify us if they have been spammed via private message. We can't see the content of private messages, but we can see the volume, and we delete anything that a spammer has sent or received.
If you have any questions at all about creating a signature or what is appropriate, please feel free to pm me.
