After reading up on this a little, it seems like it would be mostly water weight and the junk built up in the intestine that is what is being lost. I wonder is it only this or is there actual fast lost? Do people lose inches? like from arms, thighs etc? People have mentioned that their stomachs get flatter, and if the intestines are clearing out.. then that explains that. I really want to do this.. am planning to start in a couple of days. I'm just wondering what is actually lost. I do know that with any weight loss/cleansing that the first thing to go is water and hopefully intestinal build up. I would just like to lose actual FAT too you know. If anyone can give me some info on this it would be great!
Hey hunny!! So happy there will be another person sharing in thier ins and outs! Well im no epxert but losing weight depends on your own personal circumstances. It is a natural reaction for the body to slow down metabolism when food intake is decreased. Ive personnaly not lost fat yet i think.. but its early days. For a regular person There are 3500 calories per pound of body fat. So if you have a calorie deficit of 500 calories you would lose approximately one pound per week: (500 x 7 = 3,500) A calorie deficit of 1000 calories would therefore mean that you'd lose approximately two pounds per week (1000 x 7 = 7000). Two pounds a week is commonly accepted as the maximum rate of weight loss that is healthy. thats on a regular diet.
on this diet we consume approximatley 500 calories a day. women should consume 2000 calories a day. So if you had 500 calories everyday for a week and did ABOLUTLEY NOTHING you would loose 3 pounds. (1500 x 7 = 10 500) (10 500 / 3500 = 3 pounds) See, there is only so much water you can lose.Think about it. Running burns 100 calories PER MILE!! If you run only 3 miles at a comfortable pace of a 10-minute/mile that's 300 calories gone just like that. Do that 3 times a week and you've already generated a calorie deficit of 900 calories by running alone.
Also do weight bearing exercises, either resistance machines or free weights. Lean muscle mass is the best fat burner we have. Once you build muscle it wants to live and it'll increase your basal metabolic rate even when resting.
My lifestyle is far too busy for me to do all this that i have mentiones above, but im in no doubt that i will eventually burn fat. I have a pedometer and try to i walk at least 10 000 steps per day just over 3 miles i think when added up and is about 500 cal (varies from person to person). Anyway ths is a rough guide hope it has been helpful... so a lot of it is down to to you!
keep strong
