The kids liked it, they are always good at the movies but they are older, my twins are my youngest and they are 6. There were a lot of smaller ones there and they all seemed to do ok with it.
The thing I had a problem with was that apparently Disney/Pixar thinks that we are all so doomed to failure as a species. That we are all going to self destruct, you know, ruin our planet with trash and litter and consume enough bad toxic foods to put ourselves on the endangered species list within the next 700 years or so. Also that technology is superior to humanity.
I don't know, maybe I am being too sensitive about the whole thing, but I am just like geesh, every human (in the movie) is so fat that they are confined to a scooter and dependant on robots for their basic needs? No way, it'll never happen. But it does make me really mad when I see people who are obviously over 400 lbs riding up and down the sidewalks in their scooters because it is such self destructive behavior. We all need to eat healthy diets and engage in some sort of physical activity every day. But even with the current trends toward obesity in this country (and others) I still think there is more of a human instinct toward physical activity, sports, games, just kids playing, all of that, than there is toward sitting around eating and waiting to get fat. How many of us have treadmills in our homes? Or gym memberships? Practically everybody! And aren't we all recycling now? Geesh, our communities force us to even if we aren't so inclined, although most of us I think would do so voluntarily. I know we do. And I have faith in our children and in their children not to let themselves get outsmarted by computer in the future, once we are all gone, ya know?
I don't know, those were just my thoughts on the movie. Don't mean to be a downer, but I think it has a real negative outlook on human productivity as a whole.
But yeah, my kids liked it
