Default The Perfect Engagement Ring

What makes an engagement ring the "perfect engagement ring?" Is it how much money you spent for it? Or is it how much time and energy you spent finding it? I am faced with confusion when it comes to finding the perfect engagement ring... Money is not an issue. I just want to be able to pick something that my future fiance that would love. I am interested in buying a Platinum engagement ring. It is rare and surely unique, just the element I am aiming for. Any suggestions as to what the layout or design of the ring should be. Maybe someone can tell me from experience the dos and donts. I would greatly appreciate it.

I'd have been happy with anything my darling gae me. He was the one who insisted I have a diamondengagement ring. I'd have been just as happy with a wedding ring only, so I'm probably not the best person togive advice. Having said that, I wear mine all the time and never take it off.

Pricescope.com is an excellent reference to help you pick out a quality diamond. It would help if you know her tastes as far as size, cut, color, etc. If you want it to be a total surprise, you obviously won't want to ask for input. In that case, pick something that speaks to you and perhaps choose a solitaire mounting. Then she can pick her own setting later.

Good luck!

Well RBarnaby5, it looks like you are one the right track. There is nothing more sincere than buying a platinum engagement ring. Platinum is definitely the way to go. It has so many beneficial characteristics that any other metal cannot compare to. As far as the stone goes, you can have her choose. If you want to surprise her, a good idea would be to walk around the mall and get an idea of what she glances at while passing the jewelry stores.
Good Luck!!

you know whatever your woman likes is what you should get. My husband proposed with my grandmothers ring and then we went and picked one out togather. I would have gladly worn my grandmas right but it was not the one my husband wanted me to have. Yellow gold looks to yellow on me so we went with white gold. I got a very small diamond. We were planning a family and some of the bigger rings scared me since I wasnt sure if it would get cought on my clothes or catch on the skin of my little one. My DH got me an 'upgrade' for valentines day and i cant wear it because it is a tear drop diamond and the pointed end has cut my sons arm. I would ask you lady if there is something that she likes in perticular. My dream ring was an anniversary style band with blue sapphires and diamonds.

I think you should ask her and get what she wants. Every woman is different. For example, I don't wear diamonds due to the human rights issues and abuses surrounding the diamond mining industry. If my husband bought me a diamond, it would be a huge mistake and he would have to pray the store takes returns. Asking others is a good source of ideas, but not a guarantee it will be a good fit for her. She is the best one to ask. Or her best friend, if you want it to be a surprise.

When I was getting engaged, I bought my fiance a beautiful platinum engagement ring. She has taken it off her finger since! Buying an engagement ring is a once in a lifetime opportunity to show someone what they really mean to you. We've been happily married for 5 years now!

honestly the best thing to do to get the perfect ring is to shop for the ring with her. That way, you are both happy.
