My cousin-in-law emailed me the other day to tell me about something funny her son, Lucca, said. He's about 5 and I guess is at the age where he's noticing differences in people's ethnicities and was asking about bi-racialness. (Is that a word?)

So Renee explained and then went on to say how he was in a way because he's half Italian. She said he got that look he gets when he's thinking about something and then smiled and said, "Mom, I'm really lucky! I'm half olive!"
