I have been thinking about going back to school to get my master's. I know I can do it, but my trouble is testing. I looked at the GRE and GMAT tests that you have to take in order to apply and the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. The things that are on that test... Ugh! I would have to go back to school just to relearn all that! I've been out of school for a while. Has anyone gone through this testing? My husband has suggested buying some college textbooks to read, but I just can't learn that way. I have to have someone helping me out and teaching me. I don't think I can relearn calculus and all that simply by reading it.
I am not very good at math. By the grace of God and a good tutor I was able to survive college math. I am awesome at science, but math is just not my speciality.
What did you do to prep for either the GRE or GMAT? Did you take any courses to prepare yourself? Did you take a content specific GRE? I thought about that. These tests are expensive so I want to do well the 1st time I take it. It's $250 for the GMAT! Ouch! I know there are manuals for preparing you, but I just don't do well with them.
Thanks!
