Post Tiffany Nicole's Birth Story (I added some pics)

I never put Tiffany's birth story on here, every time I started to I got interupted.
I know it is a year late, but better late than never!

My water broke at about 7:30 PM on Wed. Jan. 17, 2007. I had been out shopping at Target, then for groceries and then to Chic Fil A for dinner. My parent's were in town for her birth, as I was to be induced on Friday, the 19th. (If she hadn't come yet. My Due date was the 13th) Well, once my water broke, I got a shower and we all headed to the hospital. They wanted us to time the contractions. They were lasting a long time and they were only 1 1/2 to 2 monutes apart. When we got to the hospital I was surprised at how they acted, I think they assume that you aren't in labor till they sheck you out. I told her my water broke, and she was like well lets check to make sure. Once they had me hooked up to the machine that measures the contractions they could see how big they were and how long they were lasting, and so close together. But, when they checked me I was only 3cm. And then after 2 hours walking the halls, and still very intense contractions I was still only 3 cm!!!!! Grrr.
So at that point a comment was made about how strong the contractions were, why was nothing changing. That I should be more dialated by now. So they decided that at midnight if nothing else changed that they would give me pitocin. I decided that if that happened I wanted my epidural. So I got my epi. And my pitocin at midnight. Throughout the night the babies heart rate would plummit and they would rush in and turn me over. (like a beached whale) 9 hours later it was time to start pushing. After about 20 minutes they realized that the babies head was twisted sideways. The doc said I might need a c section, but to push a little longer to see if we could get her to turn. But she is a stubborn gorl and she was not going to turn her head back.
So at 11 they decided enough was enough and to do the section. (After 16 hours of labor) So at 11:59 AM on Thursday Jan. 18 2007 Tiffany Nicole was born. She weighed 8 lbs. 5oz. and was 20 inches long. She was a cutie pie. And her stubbornness that day was a clue as to how stubborn she is!! She is mama's independent lil girlie. But so sweet.
