Time To Get Moving!
If you are anything like me you have made your New Year's Resolutions and one of them included weight loss. How is it working for you? Not so hot for me thus far. I am ready to get motivated, stay motivated and see some results!
One of my biggest challenges is finding the time to exercise. Any ideas how to work exercise into my day?

When you find out Elizabeth, let me know! I'm in the same boat. I know the professionals say that it only takes 10 minutes a day, well it might take 10 minutes if you don't have to organize the kids being supervised, move the furniture, and refuse to be distracted by screaming, ringing, buzzing and sizzling noises!

Time To Get Moving!
My main issue is that I want to drop a few pounds and allthough I know ten min. here and there is better than I am doing now, it's not going to shed those pounds. Wasn't it so much easier before kiddos to find the time to get moving! There are so many other factors that come in to play like coordinating the kids. On the weekends, when I can, I try and take my daughter to the gym with me. It is $3 for the kids club at my gym and she gets to play while I work out. They don't offer it on Sundays though.

Finding the Time to Exercise
When you have small kids, it's hard to find the time. (It doesn't matter if you have one or more.) When mine were small, I spent a lot of time climbing through the tubes at Chuckie Cheese. lol (Back then, I could fit in them.) Other times, we would play chase or catch in the park. Actually, we still do, but it makes me tired. I have a gym membership that I haven't been using. So, tomorrow, I'm off to the gym, as soon as they open. If I don't work out first thing in the morning, I won't work out at all. The thing is finding some simple exercises that will fit in your busy life. I walk so much because it doesn't require anything special. When all else fails, they say that housework, gardening, dancing will burn calories. Accountability is working for me. Knowing that I told a bunch of people that I'm going to lose 100 pounds keeps me going. I don't want to fail this time.

You will get there. You sound really motivated. I too enjoy working out first thing in the morning. After I take a shower and put make up on I just loose motivation to do it all over again. I wish I had the energy at night after putting kiddos to bed.... need to make the most of my weekends. Good for you and going to the gym. Walking is great too.

You're absolutely right about accountability being an issue. Now that I'm blogging in weight loss, I know that I have to keep going and actually lose my weight this time. No more false starts, slip backs, and failing. I'm just entering week 2 on the Weight Watcher program and so far I haven't felt like cheating (you know how easily just 1 cookie becomes 2!) but I'm sure as the pounds come off and my point allocation drops, it will get harder and that accountability is going to be a major factor in pulling me through.

I am a big fan of weightwatchers. Their system works and it teaches a way of life not how to diet. They also have wonderful recipes. It is a lifestyle change. You will get there, we all will. Let us know how it is going along the way!

I am really motivated, this time. When I don't want to get moving, I remind myself that I have a lot to gain from shedding this weight.

Good for all of you!! I am in my first week of Weight Watchers. My in laws started a couple of weeks before me, and I saw how well they were doing, and now I joined. It's great to have a support system helping you to lose weight. Of course the day after I started I got sick! I have a horrible head cold and don't want to do anything! I agree that Weight Watchers is a lifestyle not a diet, so I'm hoping this change will help me to lose weight. DH and I want to have children and with these extra pounds it's going to be difficult.
I understand about being held accountable to everyone you have told and not failing them. I decided not to tell anyone and let them see me change right before there eyes! I'm hoping that will keep me motivated to do this.
Good luck to everyone!!
