so last night i went christmas shopping for parker. he will be 3 months old on dec.21st. i had the hardest time finding toys for that age range. i found one or two things but nothing too exciting. so i bought some in the 6 month+ age range. i figured i could at least keep them until he is 6 months old. but my question really is, are there any major reasons as to why a baby couldn't use a toy that was for an older child? also, how do they come up with the ages? i understand that some toys they can't use until they can hold their head up, or stand on their own, etc.
