Default Toys?? Bored??

It seems like T is bored a lot lately. She goes to the refridgerator and whines for food, like she is bored and thinks she needs to eat. There is no way she is hungry that often, I feed her Breakfast, a snack, lunch, and dinner and a snack!!!!! She eats a lot.
I honestly think that she is bored out of her mind!!!!!
As far as toys go, she has one wooden puzzle that she loves, and will play with. She loves to take a purse and fill it up with odds and ends. She also loves to empty and fill my purse. She plays with her toys but I am starting to think that she is outgrowing a lot of them. How much can you play with a laugh and learn table, laugh and learn puppy, the drums, or the telephone that you pull behind you???
She does play with a lot of unconventional stuff, like the whold bottom 2 shelves in the pantry! stacking cans, and boxes, and all kinds of baking supplies.
Do you have any suggestions as to what to do with her?????
We can't spend a lot of time outside due to extreme heat, and humidity not to mention enough mosquitoes to drain an adult in 10 minutes flat!!!
(otherwise we would be ok, between the pool and the trampoline and the steps!!!)
Are there any toys that would be interesting for an 19 month old? That might keep her interested for more than 10 minutes????? I am not against buying a few toys. (most of her stuff is 12 months or older, therefore I think maybe she is outgrowing them???)
She does have a Fisher price incrediblock that she loves, most of the time, but she does get bored with, so we take it away for a few weeks at a time, that way when it comes out it is interesting again!
Do you think something like a grocery cart with fake food would be good?
Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!!!!!!
Sorry so long!

Katelyn loves to pretend she's making food. Her dad encourages that though even gets down there with her and showed her how the first time. She brings plates to us with her pretend food on it that she "prepared" in her pan and serves everyone and pretends to get us drinks too with her tea pot.

She also loves her baby dolls and little people. The little people have a car and bus and plane and house cause my sister gave them to us used so if you can find any of those things maybe she'd like to pretend more. It really depends on what she preferes

Joshua will be 2 in 2 weeks and he still plays with his baby toys. In fact, we haven't bought any since his 1st birthday last year! Just this afternoon he was laughing, singing, and dancing to a 6 mo toy he got for his first Christmas! I got annoyed with the toy LONG before he did!! After about 15 minutes of me singing along with it I finally told him "all done" because I'd had enough I would just try to rotate some of the ones you have now so they'll be "new" again in a couple of weeks. We just moved a couple of weeks ago so a lot of things that had been put away got pulled out. It's amazing how many new ways he found to play with his old things!
Even if you buy new toys, she'll get bored with those pretty quickly, too. Maybe buy a few new toys but only give her one at a time (waiting a few weeks in between)There's also the good ol' wooden spoon and metal bowl combo! Yes, it gets loud (and can get annoying) but it's a great toddler toy!

My 22mo. old love to color and paint. You can just put down a big piece of newspaper to protect your kitchen table. We finger paint, acrilic, water color... We don't do markers, she just colors on herself. She loves cars too! Also pouring water from one container into another. She does that in the sink when we do dishes.

Get a few new things, not too many, just go to a second hand shop, they get bored of toys so quickly. Rotate every month or so, and she'll still think climing in an empty box is the funnest thing to do! Aren't kids great!

Ellamae likes to play with everything she can't have! So I play with her toys and act like they are real fun, but it isn't working She loves the phone, tv remote, cat food, and computer cords(we are going to buy a new desk to hide the cords ASAP!)

What does she like to play with, dolls? building stuff? crafts? dress up?
When I was little I liked playing house with my dolls and kitchen.

I am kind of surprised nobody has suggested Legos. My kids always got a giant tub of the large legos for their first birthday and a giant tub of medium sized legos for the second birthday. They love Legos! My son is 10 and the twins are 6 and they still play with them, although they have the itty bitty ones now.

As previous replys said, coloring and painting is always a good activity for toddlers. Toddlers also love play-doh, they love to be read to and to look at big picture books, the I Spy series of books were always a hit with my little ones. They also liked puzzles, wooden blocks, a tea set.

My children also had a toy farm with a barn and a farmer and lots of animals that made noises, either Fisher Price or maybe Playskool, not sure which, but they loved that farm. They probably still make it.

She has a small thing of the megablocks. She does enjoy stacking them, but she seems to only stack the smallest ones. Like she doesn't like the big ones!
She won't let us read to her. Will not sit with us for more than 2 pages!!!
We keep trying. (We used to read to her all the time before she could grab teh book and scream)
She has the lttile people farm, and little people house....and she will press the buttons, but I don't know that she really knows how to play with it. Sometimes she will have the animals "walk" to us or to her. And she gives them kisses.....but she doesn't seem to be ready to play with it like I would have thought.
All great suggestion!!! Thank you........I will try to do some more crafty things with her......and just to keep her busy.
It is hard cuz we don't let her watch tv or videos at all yet, so there is no break there!

Do you have any cars or trucks? I know they're "boy toys" but Ella will play with matchbox cars for a long while, lining them up and then putting them back in the box and then lining them up again. Here are some fave toys in our house:
My little ponys
play food and play kitchen
an old computer key board
big foam blocks
aquadoodle
magnadoodle

hope that helps

I'm sure you do this but you have to show her how to play house with the little people. She might just not be into that or maybe she's easily distracted or preferes more action. Like...sidewalk chalk? lol I donno. I would say sports maybe but I do think they're too little for much of that and what can ya do...does she have any baby friends? not that you can have baby friends over all the time but maybe she just wants someone to play with.
Katelyn used to like blocks but mainly to put them in the box and dump the box out and put them in again. She would stack them occasionally but never really got into building. She likes trucks and cars and buses...she likes to pretend they're going...somwhere (who knows where) she also likes to jump...so if you can get her a safe thing to jump on (although I think Kate just learned to jump recently so not sure what Tiff can do) I leave crayons and color books where Katelyn has acess to them she usually brings them to me when she wants to color or she'll just sit and color by herself.

We do resort to watching Elmo's world around nap time cause she's way too moody. It usually helps her relax enough to fall asleep.
