Default Trying to nurse less often

My dh is ok with me continuing to nurse Ellamae, but he prefers it to be only a couple times a day. Her favorite times to nurse seem to be when I get home from work around 3pm and before bed around 8pm. So I am going to try to wean her other than around those times of the day, and if she wants I will nurse her in the morning. Other times of the day she will go to nurse but it lasts less than 2 min and she decides she doesn’t want to. She has totally ditched the bottle for Daddy almost 2 weeks ago.

She is still nursing several times during the night but I had started to notice it was more for comfort. She has recently fallen in love with blankies and loves to rub them on her face. So last night I did not nurse her but tried getting her to comfort herself with her blankie. It went well. She is almost a year and really doesn’t need to nurse during the night for nourishment.

How did you wean your babies? Any suggestions. I am worried about her fluid intake. She doesn’t drink much. Any suggestions on how to get her to drink more? She refuses milk!
