Default TTC maybe...

Okay - I posted this in "Parents of Multiples" because I wasn't sure really where to put it.
My husband and I definitely want more children, but I'm not sure when. My twins will be 7 months old tomorrow and my ob/gyn said that I had to wait at least 18 months from their birth to get pregnant again if I want to do a vbac. For those of you who have been through this or for those of you who have twins who are older - when do you think I should TTC #3 (or #3&#4 hehe)? I think I'll wait until next August but part of me is missing being preggers bad and doesn't think it would be too terrible to already get pregnant again. Am I crazy???

I dont think so...especially with the rough start your kids had!! But remember, you want to see them grow, and let them have that great special time with Mom and Dad. Plus (although I am not 100% why they came early) you should give your body a full 100% recovery so you dont have to EVER go through that again!! Kaydee is 10 months old and I also just started wishing I were pregnant again--even tho I swore up and down I was done hehe

I wanted more when Kate was 12 months but I do think this is a better time for both me and Katelyn. She's turning 2 this month and I and just 2 months pregnant. So she'll be 2 and a half when this one comes. It was nice having all that time with her and there is hope maybe she'll be potty trained by the time the next comes.

So I don't have twins (I don't even have 2 children yet) but I think August would be the perfect time to ttc again. I don't think you're nuts for wanting to be pregnant again already though.

I don't have twins but I think you'll know when to artart ttcing in yourself, yes it would probably be a good idea to wait until your twins are 1, simply because they get so much more work then, and you don't want to be running around after them and be heavily pregnant, I think 2 years is a good gap, good luck and Baby dust!!!

Yeah, I think we'll wait until next August or so. That way the twins will be 2 1/2 when the new one(s) come. I am just having a hard time mentally right now. I feel very overwhelmed at times, and other times I miss being pregnant and feel like I can handle another one. Ugh...I'm on an emotional roller coaster and feel like I did when I was pg. Hopefully this will fade.

I know exactly how you are feeling. I delivered my twins at 28 weeks pregnant and I so badly when they were home and about the age of yours wanted to try again. I found out about 2 weeks before their 2nd birthday that I was pregnant again. I think the age gap was good. My girls were old enough to do things on their own and big enough to be little helpers...getting diaper or toys etc for the baby. My son became their living doll. They still act like his little mommies (twins and 4 and baby is almost 2).
