Default Returning items w/out receipt?

Hi all,

I have two sets of CVS brand batteries I bought from CVS. Both were completely dead when I put them in my camera. These are not batteries I bought for ECB; I bought them because I actually needed the batteries. The CVS near me is refusing to take them back without a receipt - they say it is CVS policy now that no items are taken back w/out a receipt. Have any of yall experienced this? Should I pursue it through corporate? I'm kind of annoyed, the batteries are supposed to be "guaranteed".

I haven't heard anything about that policy, yet. They are CVS batteries so they should take them back. What is the expiration date? Maybe they expired and think you bought them long ago? If you can't find receipt, try another store. Hopefully you will have better luck.

If another store (maybe a "nice" one? lol) doesn't take it, then definitely call the customer service line. If it's a CVS product, they should take it back no matter why or how you bought it.

They expire Jan 2008. I hate that store. They are not allowed to manually enter coupons if they beep, per the manager. They also will only give out a raincheck for 2 items.

The only reason I ever go there is because they are way closer to my house than any other CVS.
