Ummm, did anyone here do Thanksgiving???
We had tacos tonight and a regular noon meal. I bought a turkey this week (it was CHEAP to do so!) AND my ds wanted to eat some....my dh had a cow (in the non-literal sense) and told me I was forbidden to make the turkey today...ANYDAY, but not today. I didn't intend to make it in the spirit of celebration but rather to please the kids and ummm, we LIKE turkey!!
Making the turkey on Saturday. I think as long as the intention wasn't there to be having a holiday it shouldn't matter WHAT we eat...but whatever.
Hope he gets over it as my parents WILL be in town next year and the kids and I always eat at their house on Thanksgiving. (I see it as respecting my parents traditions and allowing them their grandchildren)...
Did anyone celebrate the holiday or are you all strictly Eid holidays only?!??
