Default unwanted BF advice

I am music teacher, and I go to my students homes for the lessons. So I get to talk to a lot of moms every weak. (I have about 47 students) Plus we go to church as well.
I am shocked at how many people have told me "oh she is 8 months old? you don't need to breastfeed her anymore" or "why are you still BFing her, give her formula" and my favorite "you dont' need to breastfeed her, I didn't BF mine and they are ok"
It isn't like I am doing it in front of these people, but yet if it comes up that I am still nursing her, here comes the "advice."
Any ways I thought I'd ask the rest of you if you have the same thing happen to you? Or do I have a sign on my head that says "Please give me advice I didn't ask for or want"
I am sure these people mean well, but have they heard nothing about the benefits of breastmilk?? Why don't people seem to believe how many benefits there are to BFing?????
