Up her nose???
Nevy keeps sticking food up her nose!!
She did this the other day with a turkey dog. She kept coming by me crying and sticking her finger up her nose. I thought she had a boogy and tried to "swirl" some tissue up there but nothing came out. I just ignored her thinking it was a boogy and she would get it out sooner or later. Well about 30mins later she sneezes and out comes a chunk of turkey dog!
Yersterday she tried to stick corn up her nose but I caught her and took it away. Now today she stuck a noodle up there and I cant get it out and she wont stop crying about it!
Uhhh what do I do? Just leave it and hope she sneezes again? Call the Dr.? I'm lost as to why she keeps doing this! I know it bugs her and she cries while its in her nose yet she keeps doing it!! She can still breath and everything but she just keeps sniffing her nose and rubbing it and then cries and sticks her finger up there. How do I get her to stop?? Is this normal??

Nooooooooo idea!! Hope we skip that phase! My nephew stuck a pinto bean up there and had to be knocked out for the doctor to dig it out! Fun times!

my sister used to do this...she got bloody noses all the time for like a month and we didnt know why...when she went to the Dr to figure it out they pulled the back of an earring out of her nose! She eventually grew out of it, but not sure there is much you can do until that point other then watch her like a hawk

(((Hugs))) Oh the joys of being a mommy!
* * *
I recall this very distinctly.
When I was 4, I put a button up my nose.
Having 3 older sisters, I had lots of hand-me-down clothes.
I was in a community play at the practice.
I was wearing a new dress and a button came off of it; had no place to put the button without losing it.
I knew that I could not lose that button and it was my turn
to be called on stage. Hence, button up the nose.
Well, my Dad took me to the local family doctor. I do not remember this part, and my mother says that I came home all bloody with the button still up my nose.
Then next day, Mom, Dad, & I went to the ED at the hospital in the next big town.
They wrapped me up in a big sheet, put me on a table under a huge bright light
and carefully took it out. No bleeding. No pain. I recall this part in great detail.
They were all very nice to me.
The doctor asked if he should give me the button back......
and the nurses replied, "No, she doesn't have any pockets and we know where
it will go again!"
Got a brand new doll, a chocolate milkshake, and the nurses cleaned up the button
so that my Mom sewed it back on my dress.
And I was in the community play and looked just perfect!

At least, it isn't up her ears......yet.
(((Hugs)))

I've heard of this before, but haven't had to deal with it. From what I've been told they grow out of it, but you have to watch them. I just have a problem with my little girl sticking her finger up her nose all the time...

i haven't had to deal with it, but i think it's just a phase that kids go through (they all like sticking things into holes)
Angie i kind of see your logic with the button
