I drove her to the E.R last night as she was complaining of being really dizzy and that her right side next to her hip bone was killing her. She said she was dying of thirst. We left to the store to get her a juice and she could barely walk. So to the er we went. The dr there ran test after test. Gave her a pretty shot in the arm and told her she had to go to her Dr today. So I took her to her Dr. today. She has a REALLY mild case of OHSS. The dr said that both of her ovaries were enlarged rather big and that if she was still in pain in a couple weeks he would do an ultrasound to make sure there were no cysts still present. The came the questions from my poor friend. The nurse at the E.R was a really Witch with a capital B. They ran a blood HCG and told her that she was not pregnant and that she did not concieve this month. I was LIVID with this I asked the nurse how could she possible know if she concieved or not. This nurse proceded to tell us that they can detect pregnancy there with 24hrs of conception. IMPOSSIBLE i said. She told me I was wrong and that she would know better. My friends Dr. Also my Dr told her that it was impossible and that there is a greater chance that she got pregnant this month and that is why the OHSS is acting up more. He said that she definatly ovulated at lease two eggs and even joked with her about possibly have a double blessing. She asked if she was going to be able to take clomid again next cycle if she did not concieve and he said that he would do an ultrasound to make sure that she was not pregnant and that no cysts were present and if that was the case she could take it again. So all in all it was ok. I feel sorry for her thought she had a nurse from hell and the lady from the lab really screwed her hand up taking her blood.

man your poor friend, that nurse sounds like a real charmer...NOT! After reading so many stories about nurses on here, it makes you wonder why they (the bad ones) stay with it....I'll be praying for you and your friend.
bah that nurse better go back to school, i had blood test done 9 dpo (hadn't BD still the night before O) and it was neg but i was PG... Hope your friend did concieve and if she didn't i hope she doesn't have this next time on clomid
Oh Kristin I just saw this so ignore my PM . I'm glad she got saw by her Dr. I hate when you get the nurse from hell. Its women like that that make me try to be the best nurse I can. So that the few who are "evil" dont ruin it for everyone.
