Default Using special coupon after expiration???

I used a $10 off $50 coupon the other day, and now I think I can spend another $50 on my mother's card, but the coupon says it expires Mar. 2. I would like to use it tomorrow, Mar. 3, but I don't want to go to the trouble of buying $50 more and then have the coupon rejected. I read in some of the posts that expired EB's can be used, but what about these coupons? Have other members used them after the expiration date? If anyone can tell me one way or the other before tomorrow, I would appreciate it greatly. TIA

this is a YMMV situation. some managers will do it, some will not. there really is no set policy for this. the register will take the coupon but will your cashier and/or manager? you are really at the mercy of the mood and personality of who you are dealing with. if they point out the fact that the coupon is expired, be non-confrontational and they will probably take it.

Thanks for the quick reply. I think I will try and hopefully will be lucky. If anyone else has any experience with this, please let me know. I really don't want to buy all of this and I would hate to tell them to put it back.

Good luck! Let us know how it turns out. I know that the manager at the store I usually shop at, would NEVER take an expired coupon, but she always gives me a nasty look when she sees me anyway.

The stores in my area do take expired CVS coupons and I have discovered that most of them will scan up to 2 weeks after the expiration date. After 2 weeks expired, they have to manually push them through.

Thanks for all the imput. As it turned out, one of my friends told me that the cashiers at one of our local CVS had told her that they did accept expired CVS coupons so I went to that one. I had decided to go ahead and keep the items since they were all good buys with EB's to come anyway. So I asked when checking out, and the cashier went ahead and put it in. There was no problem at all. So I guess it does depend on the individual stores. I appreciate whoever first posted these as I have yet to receive any through e-mail. I hope someone else will get a new one and post it soon. My total bill on that order was around $58 before coupons and credits, and after the $10 and the others came off, including $9 in EB, it was only 25.76. If I get the EB on the Irish Spring, I will get back $27.49 EB ($12 Irish Spring, $2 Nice&Easy, 9.49 May. lipstick, $4 Colorvive) So I will have everything free with $1.73 overage. Still waiting to find out if Irish Spring works here in VA. Thanks again. This forum is the best!! I will try to share anything I find just as everyone else does.
