uterus pain after sex
ok ladies, put your thinking caps on! dh & i BD almost 48 hours ago, and ever since my uterus has been killing me. it hurts no matter what i do, especially if i'm bfing or one of the kids are laying on me. i drove to the store earlier, and the bumps in the road were painful, and you can forget lifting. for the record - i'm no wimp & have a hugely high pain tolerance. i didn't call the doctor, because i figured it'd be over by now, but it's not & now it's the weekend. I have mirena, and at first we were thinking it got hit or something, but the strings are still there. any guesses or ideas?

Am thinking you need to contact your Gyne on Monday if you are still experiencing symptoms. Pain is an indicator that something is not going well.

if i'm still unable to do much on monday, i'm calling. (my house is a disaster!) unfortunately my gyno is back in delaware, and we're in texas this month. (it's complicated.) my MIL works for a doctor, and he won't charge us -- but he will tell my MIL everything. I guess doctor/patient confidentiality doesn't apply when your family member is apart of his staff *eyeroll*

That sucks, Amber! I totally know what you are talking about. I had the exact same thing going on a couple of months ago. I also have a high pain tolerance, but my uterus was in so much pain for days! When the pain didn't go away I did go to the doctor. I got the exact answer I knew I'd get-- they said it was PMS pain. I wanted to punch the guy! When I told him it definately wasn't cramps, he insisted that it must then be that I was ovulating, which definately wasn't it, either.
That was the biggest waste of a $20 copay ever, as I knew it woud be! Other than that, I have no advice. Eventually the pain did go away, but after a few weeks. It got less and less painful as time went on, though. But at first, bumps in the road (and dreaded railroad tracks) sucked!!

thanks michelle! i'm so glad somebody else knows what i'm talking about! i'm worried MIL's boss will tell me the same thing (i don't think very highly of his skill set, bedside manner or professionalism to begin with, i have no idea how he even has a medical license) i was FINALLY able to clean my kitchen a bit, but it still hurts if i carry jack or walk too far. but at least i'm moving & standing straight up for some amount of time!

Since you have Mirena I would get to a Dr. ASAP! Mirena has been known to go through the uterus or get stuck in the uterus. Even though your strings are still in place there is still a risk that one of the sides is stuck in your uterus. If you have pain that bad it needs to be taken care of. I really hope its nothing but if I were you I'd get checked just in case.

well the pain has since moved to my left side and across my belly. went to MIL's work today, where they said "it could be your colon, pancreas, liver, gallbladder or appendix" and sent me on my way. so, im still in pain with no answers. still cant lift anything, do laundry (lifting and walking) or sleep.
