Default Val, or anyone

Ok, it seems Emma is ready to wean. She has shown less and less interest in the past 2 weeks and absolutely no interest since Saturday.

My question is will my BB's go through the normal "drying up" process? What I mean is will they get terribly uncomfortable and all that stuff like they do after you 1st give birth?

Just wondering because I would have expected something to happen by now.

Nope not really--this is yet another reason why child led weaning (into the toddler years) is the best way to go if you can swing it.

Tiff stopped at 18 1/2 months and I had no problems.......you are right, when they are done they are done.

Woops--I realize my comment sounded funny. . .I didn't mean toddler like past two or three. . .I just meant that when you do child led weaning it generally means they're on solids, etc. and so your boobs have slowly been going through their own "weaning process" so to speak. Way to go--and no, you can't make them nurse!

Oh...no Val I knew what you meant. I wish Emma would have wanted to nurse longer. This may sound selfish but I enjoyed that bond we had. Not to mention how much healthier she has been compared to my older 2 that were not nursed.

Oh good! I didn't want to come off sounding like it's only child led weaning if you do it for a longer time. And yes--love that my kids rarely get sick. I often think that the only reason they do is because my spouse works with preschoolers--who are not the cleanest set of the population!
