) she says that 1000/tooth is pretty standard right now because they haven't been available to the general public all that long. She basically told me that she would be very cautious of anyone claiming they could do them for less because there are some unscrupulous dentists who have done another procedure involving a resin treatment instead of the true porcelain veneers and called it veneers. That procedure is not really for cosmetic purposes but for reconstructing broken teeth and the resin can easily become stained and unsightly. Also, most of the old tooth has to be removed beforehand for that procedure. Just so you know, some of your existing tooth will have to be filed off to have a veneer set, the lumineers actually require less tooth removal but are more expensive. So look to pay about $1000/tooth (or more) for a true porcelain veneer treatment.
