Default very weird dreams

I've been having really crazy dreams lately. I wake up every 1-2 hours lately. Last night I had a dream about my ultrasound (4D) tomorrow. The nurse was really rough and mean and kept telling me how it was going to hurt so I should just back out now. There was another girl next to me that they flipped upside down and then stretched her belly out to about 2309432 inches. They spliced the ultrasound with scary videos of birthing and deformed babies, and I never really figured out which baby was actually mine in the ultrasound. I ended up screaming that I wanted my money back and sobbing my eyes out and then another nurse offered to give me another ultrasound, and she seemed better until the video thing started up again.

It was very, very weird. I've had dreams about people I don't talk to anymore, too. I had a dream that someone I used to talk to a lot's girlfriend made him get a sex change and then he blamed it on me afterwards because I'd been too busy at the time he called me to answer (I think I was in labor in the dream, it's been a few days, so I don't know).

But on the bright side, tomorrow I will (hopefully) have 4D pictures of Jacobi to post!

Oh my goodness... those ARE some weird dreams!!! I've been having really strange dreams since I've been pregnant too. I think it's very common.

Good luck tomorrow! I'm sure they'll all be very nice to you! Can't wait to see pictures of Jacobi!

Yeah I have super weird dreams, too.. More like nightmares, though! Reoccuring ones. I've read on Baby Center that they are totally normal, and they offered an explanation why, but I don't remember why. Can't wait for those to go away!

I think it's the hormones. I slept until 2 to recover this afternoon. DH thinks I'm getting the flu but it's really just the up and down during the night. I think he snores and wakes me up but I can't tell him that because he'll feel bad and then I'll feel bad for making him feel bad :P

They sound super weird... all during all 3 of my pregnancies I had CRAZY dreams, from scary to dumb to outright strange... I'd wake up every couple of hours thinking "What in the world just happened?"... it's from all the crazy hormones...

After you posted about this yesterday, I read about this last night in my "Your Pregnancy, Month by Month" book. Here's what it says:

Dreaming, which occurs during light sleep periods, is often greatly enhanced during pregnancy, which features more light sleep. Unpleasant dreams, unfortunately, are also more common. Such dreams often center on bad pregnancy outcomes. It may reassure you to know that these dreams, unfortunate and frightening as they may be, bear no relationship to the health or outcome of your pregnancy. There is no effective way to abolish these dreams. Sharing them with someone right away will ease their impact, and they will be gone after delivery - when you'll be dreaming instead about an uninterrupted good night's sleep!

Just thought I'd share to ease your mind. It's completely normal and NOT a premonition of bad things to come! Were the ladies nice to you today at your 4D Ultrasound?
