mcmama I've wondered the same thing too. I cannot fathom who has hired the campaign folks that prep them--they are much better than themselves but I cannot fathom why they haven't been fired yet. and Fostermommy--I think a lot of people feel the same way.

Not on this occasion, I'm wondering that odd rumor will come about next to be honest.

I'm tired of all of it - and i am only 19 this will be my first time to vote and i am more disgusted than ever. I'm tired of the bickering and dodgeing of the issues by both sides. If Obama gets elected we will be in serious trouble, he is a scary scary guy...I mean "universal government run health care" ??? If I wanted that I would move to a communist country.

I'm not a fan of universal health care either. . .or at least not of our governmnet doing it--but that's not a communist country thing. Lots of countries do it and do it successfully. I just don't think our government can run it.

I think the only reason ours is still successful as when it was founded, health care was handled so simply, they didn't need 10 people to do the same pointless job, I think if they tried to start it here down, it would probably be the biggest waste of money and would cause absolute chaos, our government may be very useless, but they manage to maintain certain things. After experiencing private and NHS treatment here, the private was rubbish and was provided by the best private health care company in the UK, when we went to an NHS hospital which I hadn't done in years, I was shocked by how good it was and it isn't a top rated hospital either. ramble ramble ramble

I wouldn't mind universal health care....if I thought our government was capable of handling that responsibility. I missed the debate cause I was busy freaking out.....but hope to catch up sometime this weekend. I don't think that there is any chance Palin will be ready....but who knows,........maybe McCain won't die or anything horrible and make it the whole term. If he gets elected we can only hope...and pray!!!!
Palin sure is ambitious

It is so hard to read this, without laughing, I shouldn't, buy I can't help it.
"maybe McCain won't die or anything horrible and make it the whole term".
I think as well, alot of people are anti-government run healthcare, even if it is run well and cost effective, if a government can save money on a minority opinion, they will.
I think we get a good deal though, here I pay 6% of my wages towards national insurance, then every treatment I recieve is at no extra cost, even if it were an operation in the hundreds of thousands. When we had private health care, just for the children it was £826 a month, then £542 each for me and Frank.

We do have what's called Medicaid/medicare for the uninsured. It is a good deal in my experience. We've had it for the kids for forever. . .but it's not run by the government. So I guess you've hit the nail on the head. The idea of universal health care, in and of itself doesn't bother me. It's our government running universal health care.
