Default Walking

So, CeJay has been walking now since is he was 10 months old, he is almost 16 months now. But lately I've noticed that he is very clumsy. His one foot kind of turns in. I had the same problem when I was little, my foot turning in ((and on the same side)), and it went away, but I asked my mom and she said that it never affected my walking at all. BUT, when he was 2 months old he had a broken ankle. Same side. Could that be the problem? The doctors said that it healed fine, but now I am wondering if I should take him back for another x-ray?? Maybe that has nothing to do with it at all, and maybe I should get his eyes checked? He is always falling over something, bumping into walls ((with his side, not head on)) or just falling over his feet. I have no idea? Could this be nothing? Am I making to big a deal?

You know, no one will really be able to tell you without watching your son walk. But if it helps, around that age each of my children sport a plethora of bruises from head to toe. I have had a couple agile kids, but clumsiness just kind of comes with the territory.

But I always say that a mommy should trust her intuition. . .so if you really think that something's wrong, you should mention it to your pedi to see what she says.

Thanks, I think I will... I know that kids fall down and stuff, but the closer I watch him, the more I don't think it's just him being 16 months old, ya know? He goes to the doc on the 26th for a check up, so I'm going to mention it then, and get her take... thanks so much!

I agree-I think it's at least worth a mention. Try not to stress about it too much, my kids were pretty clumsy at that age too.
