YES!!! That is just more to hold up our end of what their policies really are!!! No matter what the "in-store" people think.

Re: Walmart Policies: Coupons/Price Match/ Scan Guarantee
SCAN GUARANTEE - $3.00
WalMarts Hidden FREE Policy
Walmart has an unspoken policy that if the item rings up for a price more than the price on the shelf (and it isn't on clearance) then you can get $3.00 off the item.
BUT....You MUST mention this policy to them, they will not offer it.
And if they are unfamiliar with this policy, it is in the training manual that sits at most check out stands. They have to hit 'price override' button then choose reason code 1, for you to get the item at an additional $3.00 off.
The FREE part is if the item is under the $3.00 you get it free. For instance, you buy some paper towels that the shelf says are 92¢ and they are not clearance, but they ring up at 1.32. You would then let them know that the price is wrong and that you are requesting the $3.00 discount or in this case the item FREE.
IF the checker is unfamiliar with this and they don't have a training manual handy, then get a red coated (CSM) person over, if that doesn't help, a manager will do fine. If they also dispute this, then you would want to go to the Layaway department or Customer service area and on the wall you will see the local number for the District Manager to call.
This information is NOT posted anywhere (in store) but in the training manual, so it IS approved by corporate since they approve the training manuals. You can confirm this with the store manager at customer service.
AND
In Michigan:"bounty" law, that if an item is marked one price and scans another price you get the difference plus the difference x10 up to $5.00.

Re: Walmart Policies: Coupons/Price Match/ Scan Guarantee
I fired off an email this w/e to WM regarding an experience a co-worker of mine had when trying to use the 0.75/1 Soft Soap BW on the trial size. The cashier and the "manager" that day said they could not take any coupons that were valued over the price of the item.
I got a phone call today from the manager of the store (the real manager)!! I was so shocked! He stated that the cashier was WRONG and that the price of the coupon should be adjusted to the price of the item and that is that. He was VERY nice and I still can't believe I got a call.
Anyways- It looks like WM is doing a little better in customer service department these days! Good for them!

Return Policy
I got several gifts for my daughter's birthday (most of them are walmart brand -kidconnection). I return 2 of them w/o receipt earlier, and when I tried to return another yesterday, the register said 'limit reached'. The cashier had no clue when can I return again. FYI: It asks for ID when returning w/o receipt.
Has anybody faced this ? When can I return again ?
TIA.

Re: Walmart Policies: Coupons/Price Match/ Scan Guarantee
Their policy is only 3 returns per year without receipt. I don't know if the year is 1/1 or if it is the date after the first return w/ no receipt.
Have your DH do it.

Re: Walmart Policies: Coupons/Price Match/ Scan Guarantee
This is the email I received back from WM regarding internet coupons:
Thank you for your message.
Wal-Mart Stores can accept coupons that are available on the internet for customers to print from their home computers. The following are guidelines for the stores for accepting internet coupons:
- The coupon should be legible and say "Manufacturer Coupon". There should be a valid remit address for the manufacturer, to ensure the coupon can be processed for payment.
- The coupon should have a scan-able bar code.
- The coupon should have an expiration date.
- The coupon cannot be a photocopy.
- The limit is one coupon per item, per Customer.
- A Salaried Manager can refuse to accept a coupon if it does not meet any or all of these guidelines.
Thank you,
Customer Relations
For further correspondence regarding this issue, please reply to this email.
----Your Original Comments Were----
I am wondering what your company policy presently is on internet printed coupons. While at my local Wal-Mart on Friday I was told that they no longer take internet coupons unless the printed coupon has a color coded stripe in the bar code. She explained that there was a program that made this possible. I know of no such program. If what she is telling me is correct, please tell me what this program is. Thank you
