I new to this site. My name is Laurie and I'm a SAHM to 2 wonderful kids. I have a 3 1/2 year old little boy name James (Jimmy) and a 10 and 1/2 month old little girl named Megan. well Jimmy has be dignosed with speech apraxia. he is currently in speech therapy 3 times a week. Jimmy is lots of progress and doing much better with his speech. Megan on the other hand is a diffrent story. she is almost 11 months old and she is not stittlng up yet. She just started to be about to roll a little bit. she can roll well from her beyy to her back and very slow from from her back to her belly and this is with therapy too. She isn;t taking solids well either, wont opend her mouth for the spoon and is generally not interested in food at all. Megan isn't crawling, or stand, she won't even try to stand. she is currently seeing a phyiscal therpist every 3 weeks and a OT every 2 weeks. she is very behind at this point with gross motor and fine motor skills. she really doesn't play, she will chew on toys ( is constantly teething, 10 teeth already). her eye roll inthe back of her head,. the phyiscal therpist think there may be a neuogical problem so Megan with be seen by a neuroligist on April 27th. She alos need s to be seen by a speech therpist to check out her mouth as she still coughs and chokes on the 1st foods. There are conerns with her hearing but we think she hears okay, the ot wasn't postive on this. Megan is very easy going. so I am very stressed with all of these problems and beyond worried and scrared for her. Megan was a healthy full tern baby. so I wasn't expecting these problems. I just hope that some of you can realate to this problems. as I just need to knw whats going now. Laurie
