Default Want to work at home

Hey ladies... I am a stay at home mom but I'd really like to find a way to work from home and earn a little extra cash, but it seems like anything I find is a scam where I have to send them lots of money first. I was wondering if anyone could give me some simple ideas of things I can do at home? I figured it'd go straight to the pros Thank you all so much in advance

It depends on what you want to do, and what your abilities are. I have done bookkeeping from home, writing, outsourced data entry/office tasks. Or you can do sales. I would avoid mlm unless you really know you can do it and are very familiar with the product and the people.

If you have connections with wholesale suppliers of certain products, you can sell those on ebay. Be careful to cost it out.

Thank you so much! I have really no clue what I want to do... I am kinda crafty, and I am good with bookkeeping and stuff, but I have no idea where to look for something like that?? I can not use ebay, something happened when DH was like 16 and he was banned for life from ebay, and I tried to sign up in my name and seeing as we have the same last name and bank account and stuff, I couldn't get an account

Have you opened a paypal account of your own? Should be relatively easy. And with a business, you might want a separate account anyway.

Mcmama gave you some good advice. When my third baby was born, we moved and I decided to not seek a new teaching job. I remember thinking like you and wondering how I could make money and be at home with the kids. I started thinking about my talents and became a freelance writer. You need to go with your talents to find what will work best for you. Good luck. Working from home is great, but scheduling time to work in between caring for kids is tough. I usually stay up until 2 or 2:30 working on various freelance projects. It's a trade off, but one that is well worth it for our family.

I would definatly find something your passionate about. ie. crafts, scrapbooking, helping others ect. Then deside if you want to join a company that does that or do your own thing. If you deside on joining a company make sure you do your research on them. Here is a few things I checked out before I chose mine.
Registered with the BBB and have a good rating with them. Long standing company (I didn't want something that just got started to find that it wouldn't last and I would have to find another) Also if you can find out the income statistics that would be benaficial. To be a legitamate company you have to have a service or product involved so find out what products they sell or service you will be doing. Those are a few things that I checked out before I joined my company.
If you are going to do it yourself then it will be a little different. You will probably have to find a way to sell your product or service to others so you will need to do research on how and where to do that especially if you want to do it over the internet. Think about a website and stuff like that.
I hoped that helped a little bit and I wish you luck on your adventure. It is so rewarding to be able to work from home and be there with your children.

You could try selling on Etsy. It's like Ebay but geared more towards Crafters. Good luck!

It took me years to find my WAHM job. My best advice is, to try dabbling in your interests, lots of trial and error. AND, whilst you are doing that, everytime someone asks what you do for work, say something like, 'I'm a SAHM, but am wanting to do work from home'. The more ppl who know you are looking for this, the more it'll increase your chances. Because I was always open to the idea of working from home, and it was well known by many ppl, it was I who got offered the work at home job through my fiance's work.
