there are huge differences between breastfeeding and having a bottle, but that's all i'm going to say unless another thread gets started.

Louise had some great ideas! (are you sure you don't have kids louise? ) i really like the show her a baby and then a picture of her & see the difference. do you have any friends/family with babies? [i read this on another thread forever ago] maybe you could have DD give her bottles to the new baby since the baby needs them but DD doesn't? GL!

Thanks for all the tips. I like giving them to the bottle fairy. We'll try it tomorrow during the day and see how it goes. And I'm only with her tomorrow for naptime for the rest of the week, so it should go ok. I guess my babysitter doesn't give her a bottle at all, and she goes down for a nap ok. I think she know she can just say "baba?" all cute and sweet and her dad and I cave. I'll let you know how it works. Thanks! And good to be back. It's been WAYYYYY too long.

So we bagged them all up. I had her put them in the bag and told her that she was a big girl and babas were for babies. Then she grabbed the bag, said "mine" and ran off. I got it away, and put it in her closet, but made sure she didn't see me put it there. Today is day 1 w/o any babas. And I didn't get a lot of sleep last night, so I'm tired and can't wait for nap time so I can nap too....wish me luck!

Update:
Baba free! She went a few days kinda cranky and every now and then she asks for one and I just tell her they are for babies and she's a big girl. And she drinks a lot more out of regular cups rather than sippies so i think she feels more like a big girl. Thanks for the advice! Next hurdle is potty training ... eeek!
