After pregnancy weight loss is really needed by every women. be really careful on losing weight after pregnancy. Avoid crash dieting, and keep your caloric intake within 1,500-1,800 per day to avoid fatigue and irritability. At this point in your life, you need all the energy you can get! I weighed 112 before pregnancy.
175 at delivery
I lost all but 15- 20 lbs in the first month by just nursing and eating healthy. I slowly lost 10 more lbs over the next year while nursing and working out. But when the weight finally melted off it was after I quit nursing when my baby was 1. I think my body was holding on to those last 10 lbs for milk production.

It takes up to 6 months after pregnancy for your body to return to normal. So even if you are not breast-feeding, don't be in too much of a hurry to cut calories. Apart from the physical trauma of giving birth, which itself can leave you feeling exhausted, looking after and being responsible for a new baby can be very stressful. It will require all your energy and all the other demands of a new infant! So rather than focusing on weight loss, concentrate for the first three months or so after the birth on eating healthy food with enough calories and nutrients to give you the energy and nutrition to cope.
