Default Weird Headaches during pregnancy...

I've heard of people getting migraines during pregnancy, even if they don't have them normally. Does anyone else get strange headaches during pregnancy?

I've been having these weird headaches. They aren't super painful, like a migraine or anything, but I feel really disoriented and my whole head feels sore full of pressure- kind of like a head cold, maybe?? Anyway, I was driving today, and things around me got really blurry and I am seeing weird spots. I remember this happening when I was pregnant with Alex, too. Strange.

i would go get your blood pressure CHECKED IMMEDIATLY after this happens it usually is a sign of high blood pressure. I was brushing it all off as normal and then at my 18 week check up I was told my blood pressure was elevated and it kept going up

Yeah, get it checked. Headaches are normal, but not with blurry vision.
Do you drink diet soda? A friend of mine only drank diet soda when she was pregnant (health food nut) and got really weird headaches. Turns out she's allergic to nutrasweet. Maybe it's that.

I don't drink soda at all. I don't like it, and I hate the feeling of carbonation! LoL! I feel weird bringing it up to my midwife... She's great and whatnot, but whenever I tell her anything she ALWAYS says, "Well, Michelle! That's normal!" and she says it in this crazy voice. So after a while I start to feel like I'm over reacting and just complaining about everything, ya know?

My dh's doctor says everything in a crazy voice too.....she tells him he's normal when he says "I was laying in bed the other day and told my wife to shut off the flashlight because it was shining in my eyes and my wife said there wasn't a flashlight there....I'm hallucinating" and she'll say "Oh that's normal!"...and makes this crazy face as if we're all crazy but she's saying it normal...........Very confusing! Not sure if she's kidding or if she's crazy

I had that with my 3rd... Things only got blurry when the headache first hit... it would last a few seconds and be gone ((the blurry part, not the head ache))... It's scary! But I would tell your doc just in case.

let your doctor know just to be on the safe side but I get bad headaches during pregnanacy and it's apparently due to the increase in blood flow from the bub affecting the brain in some way, hope this helps : )

I had a lot of headaches and some full-blown migraines on Damian... Was your BP elevated on Alex? DEFINITELY check with your dr -- as pp have said, it could be a sign of hypertension, but it does sound like possible migraine as well. Seeing strange spots are one of my migraine warning signs -- particularly twinkly spots or zigzags, as weird as that may sound lol. Either way, it's not something to take chances with, and you need to find out what's up.
