Default We're Moving!

We're moving this weekend to another apartment, and well who would have guessed- the biggest snowstorm of the season is expected to hit us this weekend! WHY??? It's been soo nice out all week, and the one weekend we have to move is when the weather acts up! And not only that my car is being a gas hog and puffing out some black smoke! It's going to the shop on Monday. As if moving doesn't cost enough, now we have to worry about the car bill. yikes. Why is it always everything at once. Plus we've all been sick with Influenza A this week which has really put packing behind. Which reminds me I should probly be doing that instead of venting!

Ugh! How the heck can you even contemplate moving with the flu? Poor girl

You're right, when one thing goes wrong, all sorts of others seem to follow as well.

Try to take it one thing at a time, and not worry too much about things you cannot change. Go with the flow, and deal with what you must when you must. I find that helps me to not worry too much in advance...a lot of times things end up not being as bad as you anticipate them to be.

Good luck with your move and car-that sounds horrible

Default Finally done!

Yeah- life can get back to normal around here. We are finally done moving. We got the 14" of snow on Saturday that was expected. Thank God that we got most of the moving done early in the day before that. The roads were rather sloppy though, and the poor boys had to carry everything through the snow. Everyone was sopping wet and cold by the time we were done. I have almost everything unpacked! I think there is only like 3 or 4 boxes of odds and ends left. I am also very happy to have internet and cable back today- I felt very lost without it!- this is very sad, i know!

Start packing now! I kept putting it off, thinking I needed everything and shouldn't pack until a week or so was left before we moved, but the week before we moved we all got sick- packing was NOT fun then!! Pack anything and everything you don't need or can do without. And good luck with your move!

Kaleigh was a gradma's all weekend- helped us a lot! When she got "home" for the first time she was very confused! She saw all of her things in her room, then she went running down the hallway and looked at Mathew and I and just gave us this very confused look. She didn't want to sleep the first night- but I think she's getting some molars in too- that doesn't help But she finally fell asleep at about 10:00. Then she woke up at midnight- I held her for a while, then put her back in bed and she slept until 7:30 She's getting used to the fact that this is where we stay. Once in a while she'll go running down the hallway and turn right ( which would have been her room at the other apt. ) and now is the front door- she stops and looks around, then continues down the hall to her room- so she's catching on

I don't like moving!

Glad you have yours done and almost unpacked.

What about the car?

I could just see your little sweetie getting accustomed to her new home.
How cute!
