Default What a week (long)

Tuesday:
Today I got up at 830 am to get to class by 9:30am. I sat through a video in class about an artist, Man Ray. After class I hicked a ride on the Campus Shuttle from blgd 520 to White St. I got out and only walked about a few feet to the sidewalk. The next thing I knew I was holding my hand on my neck and screaming in agony and trying to get help. For about about 10 minutes I was screaming for help and trying to cross the street to get home. When it was safe to cross I got home and banged on the door and window to get James to come to the door because I couldn't get to my keys to let myself in, plus I was still in agony to do anything but try to get help.

I walk in and started to tell James about what is going on but I would scream every minute or everytime I would move my neck. I was still holding my hand to my neck and James started to get Gloria and himself ready but I wanted to get help fast. So James gave me some of my Migraine meds to help while we waited on my mom to get hear from work, She only was there for a little bit. Sorry mom. After mom got Gloria we left to go to the hospital which was close by anyway.

We got to the ER, there was a free Valet took our car to the valet parking lot for us while I got registered. James got me a wheelchair because I couldn't walk straight. They got my info and brought me to a room (bed 9). Here is where got interesting. A girl took my info at my bed by a portable computer they had. Then a long wait followed... about 2 hours.. nothing. When JAmes came back from getting coffee from the lodge, I asked James to see what it taking them so long. They came back and were like... there you are we took you out of the system because you weren't in the room (bed 1 registered me with, but they put me in a different room and they didn't botter to check. Anywway we got it fixed and they had to re-register me in the hospital and get my vitals and stuff. Then the doctor came in and asked me questions about what was wrong and he said I had a pinched nerve and I needed pain meds and muscle relaxer to help with the swelling. Then we were able to come back home and I got to rest a while. My mom brought Gloria back so James can watch her.

THusday: I went to see the doctor for a follow up. When I got in to the room and the nurse was talking to me. She said they couldn't find anything from the ER (X-rays and stuff) they might have done while I was in there. I told them they just asked me a few questions and gave me a scripts for meds. So I went to have X-rays done right there in the office. After going back to the room, the doctor came in and looked at my X-rays and thought he saw something wrong with C1 and C2 (for your doctors and nurses). So he said I should go in for a MRI to get a better picture of what happend in my neck. I scheduled my appt for the MRI later that day for next Wednesday afternoon.

I had a long week. Pray for me. Thanks.

Ouch! Sounds very painful and miserable from your description. Not a fun week at all.

Let us know how the tests come back.
