What are you afraid of? In a recent blog Beth said many people are afraid of dying and refuse to talk about it. Is that true? Or is it more the pain and struggle assocated with an illness eg cancer, alzheimers etc that people are afraid of.
Or is your fear something else entirely eg. heights, water, spiders etc.

I guess with death some people fear how it is going to happen, I mean I don't know anyone who thinks cancer, hell yeah thats a good way to die. I guess in some cases, especially with our American members you have the worry of health insurance too, where as if I were to get cancer I could have a nurse living with me and the best treatment without paying a single penny.

I'm afraid about dying suddenly lol but I don't think that will happen. I am more afraid of spiders and bugs in general.

My main fear has always been heights.
Now that I am a mom, I am afraid of them dying or becoming ill.

Failure, creepy crawlys, and being alone. Those are some stout things I think.

I have an irrational fear of heights...for me, but more so if I see my kids near the edge of something. I start to lose it and will first firmly, then screaming, tell them to get away from the edge. I panic and just cannot get control of myself-even on the most sturdy of bridges.

I'm afraid of death in that I'm afraid to die young. I want to raise my kids, see them graduate, buy a house or their first car, get married maybe and have children. I want to know what they're going to be when they grow up and share in their excitement of their first jobs. I'm more afraid of missing that than being dead.
