Default What do you think about new Twilight New Moon movie?

The new Twilight movie will be in theaters in a month and I am feeling kind of skeptical over its impact on kids. I came across a video where the main guy in the movie is interviewed and some experts are making comments on the movie's appropriateness to kids.
Here is the link: http://www.commonsensemedia.org/twilight-new-moon-movie
The video made me realize how kids are going crazy about it and I started questioning if it's a healthy thing. I want to know what you guys think about this movie. Do you think it's totally appropriate for kids? What do you think should be the minimum age for a kid to watch Twilight? Please, help me on this and share what you think. Thank you all.

I had the same skepticism about Harry Potter, more so the books than the movies. It's pretty dark content for young kids, but they love it. That's going to raise the bar pretty high for their future appetites.

I really would question Twighlight being appropriate for anyone under the age of 10-12 depending on their maturity IMO.

The lead actor seemed kind of nuts in interviews. Not someone I would want my kids idolizing.

I don't have kids myself but I think the book was written with young adults 14 and up in mind, it does a great job of reaching across age boundaries, but I think the call is up to the parent, I know my parents would not have let me watch something like this around 12 but each family is different, and kids are exposed to more these days. I work in a middle school and many kids have read the twilight series but a lot of it just went right over their heads.

I'd have no worries at all about any of my kids watching twilight or new moon. My 9 year old son loves the books. He's listened to them on audiobook and had a go at reading them. It's only a different take on good verses evil.

Yeah im waiting till that movie comes out. I dont think its not that bad for youngsters. Yet its better if you read some reviews or watch it by your self before considering taking your kids.
As others said the book is very good many kids like it. Also the 1st movie was fine.
