Default What is your hobby?

It is always interesting to hear what people like to do in their spare time. For me, it's reading and quilting. I also play the piano. What do you do?

I enjoy counted cross stitch and crazy quilting, mostly. But I also enjoy doing other crafts as well, such as scrapbooking (I'm not a fanatic, but I do enjoy putting one together for a special event or reason -- I just put together one with recent photos of our (DH and my) familes to show to potential birthmothers, as we are in the process of an infant adoption. I thought it would be a good idea to have something to show a PBM to "introduce" her to our family so she has an idea of what our family might be like to grow up in. I know that showing her photos won't make her decision any easier, but it might at least give her a little peace of mind being able to see the family in which her child might be raised.

I have always loved to read, but I've found that, with a baby, my reading has gone from books to magazines. At least I can finish those! I also like collecting antiques, going to garage/estate sales and watching tv/movies.

Default Milk Glass!

I have this crazy, big collection of milk glass. I also love the shabby chic/Florida look, so I collect old vintage Florida stuff.

Scrapbook, Write and Read - in that order. Of course for me they can all be combined in many ways.

I do a lot of reading, as well as a good deal of writing.
I have a film degree so most of my free time has been spent writing screenplays and making short films. I find editing a film not only fun but a rewarding way to spend my time.

I'm a reading fanatic, too. I also crochet. I got started when I needed something to do at the laundramat but didn't want to get started on a book. I'm making outdoor window decor (fake shutters) using a single strip of wood with wooden maples leaves attached. I'm painting them one flat color, then daubing them with a sponge dipped into many colors. My husband used a real maple leaf as the cut out design. They're coming along nice.

I love to try and decorate as well. Im horrible at it, but I have a lot of enthusianm. My newest project is 2 VERY large windows taken out of an old bank. I plan on painting them and hanging them above my cuoch (that space is so empty). Hopefully this looks as neat as I think it will.
