Talking What was the best part of your day?

So I saw this on an old thread and thought it was a great idea! It's easy as moms (at least I know for me) to get caught up in the routines and not stop and think about what you enjoyed most about your kids or something special or fun you got to do each day...or be honest, the best part could be when the kids are sleeping! So share here!

What was the best part of your day today?!

The best part of my day today was seeing my son's toothy grin the whole way in the car to the store. Because of the cold weather and snow we have been stuck in the house for the last three days in a row which is very unusual for us - we are always on the go normally! Well, if I was feeling cabin fever, ds certainly was and he sure was glad to get out of the house today. That sweet little smile was SO cute I laughed the whole time in the car cause it was ear to ear nonstop!

well, today I showed Daniel a picture of my husband and me and I pointed to my husband and said "that's daddy." Then I pointed to myself and said "that's mommy." Daniel looked at the picture for a minute then pointed to my husband and said "daddy" then pointed to me and said "mommy". I was so excited that I called everyone I know to let them know what he did.
That was the best part of my day

Those are just precious stories!

Roots & Wings. That is what I am working on with my sons.

DS#1 went back to college, after being home for the weekend.
He wanted me to make several homemade tv dinners for him to take
back to his apt.
I made two big pans of chicken breasts with rice casserole
and froze them in individual portions for him to reheat.
Also made oatmeal cookies w/ raisins for him.

My sons are not kissers (I think it is their age).....just huggers.

When DS#1 left for college, he not only gave me a big hug,
he also kissed my cheek.

Then DS#2 (who is a foot taller than I am) knows I am sad
and gives me this big ole bear hug.

This is a great idea for a thread, Melissa!

Smile Best part of my day

The best time of my day is when I can feel my baby kick. That is when I actualy stop and just sit and hold my tummy. Just to get away from normal routine.

That is SO sweet I bet it melted your heart Angie! Even though older boys may have a hard time showing love like that they certainly love you a lot!

I love hearing these!

The best part of my day today I was playing on the floor with Riley and said "give mommy a kiss!" and he giggled and ran away ....and then ran back and smiled and said "kiss!" and kissed me! It was so cute!

Kaleigh loves bathtime...tonight's was extra funny! She loves rubber duckies and was looking at the bottom of her ducky and when she went to squeeze it the ducky squirted her right in the nose! We both were laughing so hard! I love her giggle! It always makes me laugh, and me laughing makes her laugh!
