What was your favorite board game as a child?
My absolute favorite was Life . . . I don't know exactly why, but I always wanted to play that one.

My favorite one was sorry. Another one was mouse trap, when I was able to set up the board. The ones I enjoy today with my kids are the classics like candy land and chutes and ladders.

My sister and I used to play a game called Careers. Did anyone play this? I saw one the other day and the artwork is so dated, it made me feel old. We've come a long way since the late 70s/early 80s powers suits with big shoulders and big hair! I also used to love Risk, Monopoly and Scrabble.

Monopoly, hands down. I loved Scrabble, and Clue, and Stratego. Life was good too (the game, I mean). But Monopoly ruled. And it still does.

Careers, that was my mom's favourite game! (Hey, she's only 51 and I'm about to turn 30, so don't feel old.)
Mine was Payday. I found a version of it and have it downstairs!

I loved Life, the little peg people amused me. I also LOVED Hi-Ho Cherry-oh!!! OMGosh, I would literally twist my sisters' arms to play with me!! And we bought that game for my (then) 3-yo, and...it was so lame!!! ROFL

I too loved life. i think because it made me feel so grown up. you know, because you get to get married, start a family, get a career. for a 8 year old, that was fun! not so much anymore, j/k!
