What did you guys dance to for your first dance as husband and wife? And was it the traditional slow song/dance or did you guys do something different?

Ours was to The Story by Brandi Carlile. Definately not your traditional first dance kinda song, but we loved the song! It starts out as a slow song, but then picks up speed, but slow dancing still works. We didn't do any choreographed dance or anything, but I really wish we would have!!! I tried to get DH to agree to it, but he is too shy! hehe!

We had "I could not ask for More" by Sara Evans. It was just our favorite song at the time and really discribed how we felt.

I love all of those songs!

Ours was Heaven originally by Bryan Adams, but we picked the one by DJ Sammy, same song, just a girl singing it... Totally described everything... Rhi, it was me and Justin's first dance ever too!!

Our was "You and I" by Michael Buble - but we had a live jazz band who did a fantastic interpretation. Halfway through the dance we went and got our parents. I danced with my dad and my DH danced with his Mum. It was very emotional.
Then the song broke into Minnie the Moocher at the end....livened the mood.

I also loved Your Song and as a surprise one of my DH's family friends sang a version for us. He was incredible...and I dare say better then the original. If you want to hear it its on youtube under "craig your song"

Ours was super short...some adam sandler song.... I don't know what it's called but maybe "I wanna grow old with you" It's really cute. We were so awkward because we weren't sure how to dance!! I had no idea where to put my hands and he was even worse!!!! It was embarrassing (sp?)
