Default Whats your favorite book?

I don't think i have an ABSOLUTE favorite, but i have a top 3.
#3- The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold

#2 -The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks

#1- 100 Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

I wish The Lovely Bones and 100 years of Solitude would become movies!

Hmmm...that is tough one...so many to choose from...

I really really enjoyed "Where the Heart Is" by Billie Letts...did become a movie...

Another fave.."The Secret Life of Bees" by Sue Monk Kidd...

I have enjoyed (and for most cried during) all of the books by Jodi Piccoult that I have read so far...

One of my all time faves I guess would be by an author who has been a fave for years..."If Tomorrow Comes" by the late Sidney Sheldon

I too enjoyed "Lovely Bones"...

I could go on and on but....NEXT...

Okay, I'm not sure why it doesn't like the title of the Andrew Lansdown poetry book so will substitute another also by Andrew Lansdown - Counterpoise.

I love literature so it is really hard for me to pick just a few! But I will try...
*The Mysteries of Udolpho by Ann Radcliffe
*Play it as it Lays by Joan Didion
*Tara Road by Maeve Binchy
*The Deep End of the Ocean by Jacquelyn Mitchard
*No Life for a Lady by Agnes Morely Cleveland

Ok, I am thinking of at least a dozen others so I will stop...but I just want to add one more thing...dare I say it?? Yes, I will publicly declare that I absolutely love...the
Harry Potter series!

I know I am a dork but I started reading them to my oldest when the first one came out and I really do like them.

Just finished reading a book called "Water for Elephants" by Sara Gruen...it was a really good read...

I actually want to read the Harry Potter series one of these days...I think we have all the books now...Once I get through the pile of books I always seem to have...(not including the ones I own...just the library books I take out all the time!!) I will set about reading through them...

Oh Heather, I think you will LOVE the Harry Potter books! They are books that I can read again and again.

I really enjoyed "The Secret Life of Bees" (thanks Heather!)

I LOVE reading. My favorite is "Little Earthquakes" by Jennifer Weiner. FUNNY book about women, family, babies, marriage, etc.
I'm also a fan of Amy Tan's books... Joy Luck Club, Kitchen Gods Wife, etc. They are all good. Also "The Saving Graces" by Patricia Gaffney is a great one.
I am big into books on women, family bonds, and family.
