Default What's Your workout routine?

How often do you work out? When you do work out what types of things do you do? Do you focus ona muscle group or your body as a whole?

I do, at least:

25 regular crunches a day
25 side crunches for each side
25 leg lifts, each leg
25 arm presses

This is a fairly new thing for me, so we'll see how it goes.

I usually try to do 100 cruches everyday, and then at least 30 minutes on the gazelle (kind of like an elliptical trainer). this doesnt always happen, but as it gets warmer I see myself getting more and more motivated by the potential of wearing skimpy clothing.

I do 60 minutes each day on my elliptical machine with 10lbs weights on my ankles.
I do at least 30 mins of weight training every other day (I used DVDs and a book)
I walk 2 miles in the afternoon

I swim twice a week.
I am extremely in shape, but I am still overweight, if that makes sense!!

I want a Gazelle. My friend has one and I love it. My next planned fitness purchase, however, will be a bike. I love biking, but my old bike is shot!

Wow chana, I wish I was that active. I'm going to try and bump up the gazelle experience it really does make a dramatic impact.

Yeah, but did you see the part where I said it is not making all that much difference?
I am getting off my meds and hoping that the weight I gained will come off.
Since I got on Zoloft, I gaines about 30lbs ina really short space of time, DESPITE the exercise and eating fairly well.
I gained about 10lbs LAST WEEK ALONE, that is not normal.
I exercise off about 1,500 calories a day, eat right and I GAIN!!! HUH????
This has only been happening since the meds and it happened so fast.
It is a documneted side-effect that this does happen in some people. SO I am hoping that getting off Zoloft and the exercise routing will get things moving back in the right direction.
At least I have the discipline already established, but right now I am disgusted with my weight.

I've been exercising one to one and half hours five days a week, and haven't seen hardly any weight loss. I'm definitely more toned and more aerobically fit, but I've been doing this for six months and I thought I'd see more weight come off than just a few pounds. It's really, really discouraging. I don't have a lot to lose, but I have some, and I'm out of ideas. I watch what I eat and exercise like a maniac. What else is there?

Writer, you and me are in the same boat.
I am getting ready to ahve my thyroid checked.
I do not even eat anywhere close to 2,000 calories a day and am exercising off at least 1,000.
My body seems seriously out-of-wack.
So, there goes the theory that being overweight is caused by lack of exercise and eating too much (0:

chana613,
Let me know if you get your thyroid checked. We are certainly in the same boat. My sister keeps saying that I have to lose weight because I am defying the law of physics. She thinks I must have candy stashed in my closet or something. (Well, I do, but it's to keep it away from the kids, not for me to snack on!)
