When did your pregnancy feel real?
When I first found out I was pregnant, everything felt like a dream, I still wonder if I'm dreaming sometimes. Then when my pregnancy was confirmed by my doctor, it felt real. Then, the next day, I didn't really "feel" pregnant anymore. When I have appts and hear the baby's heartbeat or see him/her on the ultrasound, I get excited and "feel" pregnant, but other than that, on regular days, despite my morning/noon/night sickness, I don't feel pregnant. I'm ten weeks today. I'm not showing, but my clothes are definitely becoming snug. How far along were you before you actually felt pregnant and started feeling an attachment to your unborn baby?

it didn't start seeming real to me until the past 2 weeks when i started feeling movements and my bump started to pop out. but it started truly hitting me more last friday during my level 2 ultrasound. (even though it was my 3rd ultrasound with this one). with DD, i don't think i felt a true "attachment" until she was born. congratulations on your pregnancy! don't worry, this time will fly by.

With my first child it didn't seem real til the first u/s and I got to see her. With my second, I was scared to death of m/c and was scared to become attached. But after I saw his heartbeat I let my guard down and finally felt pg. But even with both I had my days were I had to remember "Hey I'm pg!!".

When I got a big big bump which wasn't till i was 6-7 months pg. Even when i had number 5 the whole idea of a baby being in there seemed very surreal.

I STILL have moments when it doesn't seem real and my baby is 16 months. Sometimes I look at her in disbelief that we created her! The whole process is a miracle, a concept that can be hard to grasp at times, if I’m making any sense at all.

You all make perfect sense. Sometimes I have aha moments like "oh my gosh, I really am pregnant". And then when I look at my tiny belly, I want it to grow so fast.

I agree, when my tummy's small, I want it bigger, and when it gets bigger, I want it small again. But, I'd have to say I didn't "feel" pregnant until the first ultrasound when I could see my baby moving! Then it hit me.
