I felt my baby move around 13 weeks, but I know with number 2 it was longer than that. Also, it was a bubbling movement I felt, until he got bigger......have heard the heart beat? what about an ultrasound? check with your doc, they can calm your nerves....

I think most people don't feel baby start to move until after 20 weeks- with their first, at least! Sometimes sooner with their second. Is this your first?

Welcome to Families, by the way!

Hi
I've had a scan and heard babies heart. Everything was fine, i'm just worried as this is my first and i don't now what to expect.
Thank you for your help. It's nice to talk about this to other mums, as i've recently move abroad and am finding it hard to cope without family around to support me.

I didn't feel the baby move until 21weeks and I wasn't recognizing it. I was at an appointment and the doctor had to point out a movement to me! Once I knew what I was feeling I recognized it 2 more times during the appointment! She didn't like him using the doppler to find the heartbeat and was kicking it.

Is this your first?

I've heard with your first it can be as late as 22 weeks. I felt my first baby at 16 or 17 weeks.

As already stated, usually around 20 weeks with your first. And then, it may not be constantly either. Glad all looks well with your little one!
