I tell people to buy a box of organic almonds or walnuts, split the box into 2 lb. quanities, then just put them in pretty gift bags and you have several healthy gifts. It can be for the whole family or an individual. I get them from our family farm, Bremner Farms. Google it on the web.
Can't find the place in this site that talks about having to pasteurize almonds, but ours are not, and we can sell up to 100 lbs per day to a person (no businesses) That is the one exception to the new law. So, don't let anyone tell you that all Calif. almonds are pasteurized, it's just not true.
