Default Where do you get your ideas for pages?

I seem to be in a bit of a rut with my pages. Where do you get ideas for new pages? I know there are so many books out there but I can't afford to buy them. Where do you go for inspiration?

Honestly, I'm old fashioned I guess. I just spread out my supplies and stare like a zombie at those and the photos until something comes to me lol.

I love to look at magazine ads for ideas on layout or color combinations. Maybe you could look through a friend's scrapbook for ideas. Scrapbook stores usually have some really cool ideas up in their store if you want to browse around there.

Just a little plug for our scrapbooking blog here at families.com Nicole and I write over 40 idea articles a month for the blog.

Let me know if there's somethings else that you'd like to see. I'm always ready for new ideas!

You could also check out the idea gallery at www.scrapbookcircle.com - we're always adding new ideas there!

Same here, but sometimes I get tired of staring! That's when I check out the dmarie website or I go to ebay. People actually sell ready made pages on there! Sometimes just by looking at pages that someone else has done I get an idea for the page that I'm working on.

I don't usually buy idea books, but my friend showed me one that I absolutely had to order (and I did!). If you have a little extra cash to splurge on this I would highly recommend it. There are two volumes called Sketches through Creating Keepsakes website. The book is split into sections by how many pictures you are using for your layout from one up to fifteen plus. It shows several examples of each layout and a sketch at the top of each page with the dimensions for each photo identified. I LOVE this idea book! I think it was $14.95, but I have had it for only a couple months and I feel like I've already got my money's worth out of it! I want to buy the second one! You could ask for it for a gift if you can't afford it right now too .

Melissa did you get it from the website or from a store? I'm kinda running low on ideas for Aiden and Alejandro's scrapbooks.
