ours is on top of the microwave, but i voted counter because it's close enough. i'm not too keen on frozen or refrigerated bread either. i just got a breadmaker, so bread is going faster around here!

in the freezer cos we don't eat a lot of bread and it would go mouldy before we even use half

I can't eat frozen or refridgerated bread, I don't know why but yuck.
I love love love fresh bread, but I try not to buy it too often. We keep roll for dh lunches, and once in a blue moon I'll buy a loaf of bread. But I try to stay away from it.

We keep our bread in a drawer with the toaster and peanut butter
We got thru quite a bit of bread with toast for breakfast and sandwiches for lunch and snacks, etc... I always have a loaf in the freezer too, just in case!

We eat only whole wheat bread, its all the kids have ever known so they don't know the difference.
What kinds of bread do you all eat?

I try to eat something good for me......but sometimes I lose that fight with dh and we come home with white bread. I suggest never shop with my dh! He's always saying "is that on the list??"

Since moving, we don't 'keep' bread any more. We live in a small village, and we nip to the shop, buy a small loaf or pack of rolls (whole grain here too, or rye bread depending on our mood), and then eat it as soon as we get back.

I can't stand frozen bread, and keeping it in the fridge makes it taste funny imo.

We keep a backup loaf in the freezer too. But mosty in the bread box. By mother used to keep it on top of the fridge, I've notice that makes the bottom of the bread dry out faster, so I got the bread box.
